Tudo vai muito bem at\u00e9 que as coisas saem do controle, reconduzindo o aprendiz \u00e0 sua sabedoria limitada e \u00e0 insignific\u00e2ncia de sua exist\u00eancia. O enredo \u00e9 familiar, a hist\u00f3ria da ambi\u00e7\u00e3o presente em 10 entre 10 mitos sobre o poder, de S\u00edsifo a Fausto. Mas a hist\u00f3ria que interessa aqui \u00e9 mais ing\u00eanua, atuada pelo queridinho em quadrinhos da Disney, Mickey Mouse, em Fantasia. Ambos tomam como ponto de partida materiais cotidianos, como copos, l\u00e1pis e cadeiras e, relocando-os e combinando-os com outros materiais improv\u00e1veis, os denotam de outros significados. Weffort vem desenvolvendo uma s\u00e9rie de estantes de madeira, onde uma variedade de materiais como x\u00edcaras, pedras e pap\u00e9is de ponto s\u00e3o encaixados lado a lado, negociando sua exist\u00eancia com o objeto pr\u00f3ximo, escapando num lugar entre a simbiose e a individualidade. Competem na mesma medida em que se aceitam mutuamente. Barateiro opera sobretudo no registro do ac\u00famulo, enfileirando cadeiras numa base de concreto ou articulando uma por\u00e7\u00e3o de l\u00e1pis, formando estruturas geom\u00e9tricas, sempre demovendo os objetos de sua funcionalidade. No entanto, no percurso eles n\u00e3o se calam, mas o feiti\u00e7o se torna contra o feiticeiro na medida em que ganham novas e poderosas vozes. Mas, para al\u00e9m dessa tradi\u00e7\u00e3o que prioriza a forma sobre o conte\u00fado, defendendo numa dial\u00e9tica de rela\u00e7\u00f5es improv\u00e1veis que \u201cthe medium is message\u201d, Weffort e Barateiro parecem na mesma medida enfatizar o conte\u00fado e a forma. A sensa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 que as formas ganharam vida, como a vassoura do simp\u00e1tico Rato, mas com a vida vem tamb\u00e9m a vontade pr\u00f3pria. Os objetos parecem aceitar com subordina\u00e7\u00e3o sua nova condi\u00e7\u00e3o, mas o fato de terem se deslocado adverte: agora eles podem tudo.
